One day, I was discussing with a Muslim man and a Christian brother. I mentioned that there is no other way to heaven — therefore to the Father — except through Jesus Christ. My intention was to help the Muslim man come to the light.
To my great surprise, the one who first confronted me was the Christian brother. He said to me: “So, you want to tell us that all those Muslims in all the Arabic world will go to hell because they don’t believe in Jesus?”
I was shocked that this statement came from a brother who himself seemed to have no confidence in the One he claimed to believe in. Sadly, this is the position of many believers today.
When people refuse to accept the truth, they will perish. God destroyed the world in the time of Noah and saved only eight people because the others did not want to enter the ark to save their lives.
As Christians, we need to have confidence that there is no other way to the Father and to heaven except through Jesus. This is the message we must give to everyone, with assurance, that there is no other way but Him.
John 14:5-7 (NIV)
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
This declaration of the Lord is unlike anything anyone else has ever said. Many will say, “I know the way, I know the truth, and I have life,” but the Lord said: “I am the way, I am the truth, and I am the life.”
Throughout the Bible, it is clearly shown that Jesus is the Son of God and the only Savior.
John 6:27 (NIV)
Do not work for food that perishes, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on Him, God the Father has placed His seal of approval.
In this verse, the Lord confirms that He is the only one on whom the Father has set His seal and the only one who can give everlasting life.
For us, the children of God, the Word of God is the final truth. It testifies that Jesus Christ is not only God but also the Savior.
John 3:16 (NIV)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16 is one of the clearest verses in the Bible showing that there is no salvation outside of Jesus Christ. He alone took upon Himself our sins. He paid the price with His own life so that we could be reconciled to the Father.
Romans 5:1 (NIV)
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus brought peace between us and God. Man sinned and had to pay with his own blood, but the blood of man was not pure enough for a holy God. That is why God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus. He paid the price for our sins and reconciled us to God. The Bible says that now we have peace with God.
Acts 4:12 (NIV)
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
Only the name of Jesus can save. There are many verses in the Bible that confirm this truth: Jesus is the only way to the Father.
If you are not saved, or if you are not sure, you can invite Him into your life today.
Pray this prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, and I ask You to forgive me. I believe You are the Son of God, that You died for my sins, and that You rose from the dead. Wash me with Your blood, come into my life, and be my Lord and Savior.”
If you prayed this prayer, you are now born again. Ask God to lead you to a good church where you can grow in His Word. Walk in the fear of God and in obedience, letting His will guide your life.
Remember: Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father.
